Sometimes your mind just gets stuck in a rut. Open to all ideas or new ways to accomplish this scenario. Refuse to again put over 30 hrs into a simple project that this should have become. Anyone else have a solution or had similar experience? I am open to suggestions for a GOOD reliable alternative B.U.program but it must have a restore of the boot disk along with the BU part of program. Tried on two computers (1 Vista) with same results. If I do format how will I get my SP3 back rather than my 5 year old original XP SP1 from installation disk? I don't want to duplicate all the errors I've accumulated over the years in my registry etc.using the new boot disk.Othe problem is when I go to install the 2009, I get master file Acronis TI.msi with size of 0 KB. Decided to switch to the 2009 Acronis to see if they got rid of the bug in 8.0. Can I simply boot from the Acronis disk, and use it to clone directly, or do as Grover suggests, and make a backup image first, then clone from the image to the new drive. From my previous entries on problems getting version 8.0 to work I've decided to format my disk and start all over but have some issues I need to clear up first. Because of all the problems possible that I've seen posted, and afraid of breaking my current system, I'd prefer not to install my (boxed) TI Home 2009.
